Pontresina

In der Bergwelt um Pontresina fühlt sich das Bündner Wappentier besonders wohl. Am Piz Albris (3'166 m) lebt eine der grössten Steinbockkolonien der Alpen. Zwischen Ende April und Anfang Juni, wenn die Wiesen grün werden und noch Schnee bis zur Baumgrenze liegt, kann man in Pontresina ein besonderes Phänomen beobachten. Der "König der Alpen" kommt bis zum Dorfrand, um frische Grashalme zu fressen.

The Grisons heraldic animal feels particularly at home in the mountains around Pontresina. One of the largest ibex colonies in the Alps lives at Piz Albris (3,166 m). Between the end of April and the beginning of June, when the meadows turn green and there is still snow up to the tree line, a special phenomenon can be observed in Pontresina. The "King of the Alps" comes to the edge of the village to eat fresh blades of grass.
