Piz Nair

Ob bei strahlendem Sonnenschein, stürmischen Winden oder eisiger Kälte: Seit 60 Jahren steht der Guardiaun Grischun, unbeirrt an seinem Platz auf dem Piz Nair und blickt hinunter ins Tal um die St. Moritzer Skipisten zu bewachen. Der 2,6 Meter grosse und 400 Kilogramm schwäre Steinbock wurde 1958 von der Künstlerin Rosemarie Roth-Grieder erstellt und dann in einem abenteuerlichen Unterfangen auf den Piz Nair transportiert.

Whether in bright sunshine, stormy winds or icy cold weather: For 60 years, the Guardiaun Grischun has stood unwaveringly in his place on the Piz Nair and looks down into the valley to guard the St. Moritz ski slopes. The 2.6 meter tall and 400 kilogram black ibex was created in 1958 by the artist Rosemarie Roth-Grieder and then transported to the Piz Nair in an adventurous undertaking.
